As the heat of summer begins to build up, one great way to beat its scorching temperature is taking a dip in one of Hong Kong’s many awesome public swimming pools. UNO Health & Kinesiology Building Indoor Pool This UNO Health & Kinesiology building indoor pool serves as the on-campus practice and competition venue for the Omaha Swimming & Diving program, featuring spacious locker rooms, on-deck bleacher seating for competing teams, an upstairs viewing area that seats up to 800 spectators, offices for coaching staff training equipment wet classroom space 50 meter lanes three diving boards equipped with Colorado Timing System rules of competition as well as spacious locker rooms.

The Natatorium serves as the focal point of campus life during college season, hosting several national championship events such as NCAA Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships, Collegiate Swimming Association Collegiate Championships and Big East Conference Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships. Due to a shortage of lifeguards, 20 public swimming pools may only partially open this summer while 500 licensed private pools could fail to open on schedule in July, the Hong Kong Recreation and Sports Professionals General Union has stated. Out of 45 public pools managed by Leisure and Cultural Services Department, only 13 may open as planned this month, according to HKRSPGU estimates.

Non-hotel guests may purchase a monthly swimming pool ticket at a cost of HK$ 17 during weekday hours and 19 on weekends, and will give access to all public pools managed by the LCSD. Senior citizens, students and those with disabilities qualify for discounts.

Wong Tai Sin’s family-friendly public pool, popularly known as Wong Tai Sin Kids Lagoon, is an enjoyable spot for children of all ages. The outdoor kid lagoon boasts waterslides and water shooters while its indoor counterpart is known for its pirate ship! However, Mondays are reserved for cleaning.
