Speaking of rhinos…

More details of the Rhino MayDay organised by Save The Rhino, are now available:

Date: 1 May 2012

Time: 10am to 5pm

Venue: University College London and the Grant Museum of Zoology, Anatomy Building, Gower Street, London, WC1 6BT

The event will be an information-sharing and awareness-raising event for anyone with an interest in rhino conservation. Attending will be experts from many different areas of rhino conservation, from project field staff and conservation charities to academics and zoo personnel. The day will consist of presentations, followed by a panel discussion on some of the controversial topics in rhino conservation.

Confirmed speakers so far:

  • Nevin Hunter: Head of the National Wildlife Crime Unit
  • Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (TBC)
  • Mary Rice: Executive Director and Head of the Elephant Campaign, Environmental Investigation Agency
  • Sarah Forsyth: rhino security and training, Colchester Zoo
  • Steve and Ann Toon: Wildlife Photographers
  • Horst Lubnow: Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, Assam
  • Nadia Alnaimi: Cambridge University

More speakers will be added. Speakers subject to change.

The event costs £15 and includes coffees.
