Desert dweller

Meet Ben, 1,400kg of bad attitude.  We encountered him on foot one morning in Namibia’s stunning and isolated Kunene region.  We were tracking desert-adapted rhino in the area with expert trackers from Save the Rhino Trust which is based in Namibia.  The organisation has done much to safeguard and build up numbers of these special rhinos, and the remoteness of the area has played its part in helping protect these rhinos from the poaching onslaught that’s hitting other regions of southern Africa.
